A two-day festival on future-proof fashion that crosses over to different art disciplines in Antwerp, De Studio. MOOI features not only inspiring Belgian designers but also international fashion minds within sustainability, technology & innovation.
It will also host the first ever Fashtech Hackathon in Belgium, where developers and digital strategists join forces with sustainability experts and fashion designers.
This year's edition is curated by fashion designer Murielle Victorine Scherre, founder of la fille d'O.
"MOOI is 2 day get-together of people with hearts and minds that sing the same tune: a song for future. a present, observing what we have learned and how we can get smarter. We all have questions. MOOI inspires to ask better ones."
Murielle Victorine Scherre, curator MOOI 2018
Expect a fascinating dialogue on today’s state of fashion, including topics such as racism, gender differences, body shaming, exploitation, ecological impact and more. Experience your own MOOI’s journey through exhibitions, talks, installations and debates and take part in a dialogue about this creative, but controversial industry we all love.
MINDFASHION.today founder Janne Baetsen will also be present. During her ‘ Are we Humans or Consumers’ talk she will be questioning today's values and meanings of fashion while diving into a world of 'Whys' instead of (only) 'Whats'.
