Biologists now claim that the predatory character of humans is leading to the sixth mass extinction: the Anthropocene extinction. Should we regard humans as a product of nature, and see our dominance of the earth as a natural outcome of evolution? Or is it a signal for us to revolutionize how we eat in order to change the course of the future?
Making up the debate panel will be four world-leading voices on sustainability and environmentalist theory including former leader of The Green Party Natalie Bennett, radical philosopher T!M Freke, environmentalist monk Dada Jyotirupananda and London foodie and cook Rosie Birkett. Institute of Philosophy director and IAI alumni Barry C. Smith hosts to keep this feast of ideas on course.
